General conditions for annual passes

  1. Definitions
    1. PLOPSA: all theme parks within the Plopsa group, namely Plopsaland De Panne, Plopsaqua De Panne, Plopsa Indoor Hasselt, Plopsa Coo Ardennes, Plopsa Station Antwerp, Plopsaqua Hannut-Landen, Plopsa Indoor Coevorden and Holiday Park Germany and all theme parks that may be added in the future;
    2. Subscriber: the person who has purchased a subscription (online or on site) for one of the aforementioned Plopsa theme parks within the Plopsa group;
    3. Subscription: a valid entrance ticket, property of the subscriber stated on the subscription, with which the subscriber can gain access to one or more Plopsa theme parks within the Plopsa group for a period of 12 months (unless expressly stated otherwise on the subscription).
  2. General
    1. These General Terms and Conditions apply to Plopsa customers or ‘subscribers’ with a subscription that grants access to one of the theme parks within the Plopsa group. A subscription only grants access to one of the theme parks on the opening days of the park in question and does not grant access on days when the park is closed (for a private event, if applicable).
    2. The subscriber must physically carry the subscription with them every time they visit any theme park in order to gain access to the park. The subscription must be shown at the entrance to each park. A copy, screenshot, digital version or any other form than the physical subscription is not valid as a valid admission ticket.
    3. When creating the subscription, a photo must be chosen on which the subscriber is clearly identifiable. If it appears during the access control that quick and easy identification using the subscription is not possible, access to the park may be refused. The park then has the undeniable authority to demand that a new photo be taken.
    4. A subscription is strictly personal and non-transferable.
    5. Every person who purchases a subscription must identify themselves. Subscriptions purchased for persons under the age of 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.
    6. A Plopsa subscription entitles the subscription holder to many benefits and discounts, which can be found here.
  3. Parking
    1. Free parking is not included in a standard subscription. A subscriber has the option to purchase a parking subscription (‘Plopsa Parking Pass’) together with the park subscription. A Premium Pass already includes a parking subscription.
    2. A Plopsa Parking Pass includes free parking in the car park for which the subscription was purchased, except for Plopsa Station Antwerp, where there is no Plopsa parking.
    3. A parking subscription is linked to the address of the subscriber who purchases the subscription. All resident family members can use the same parking subscription.
    4. The holder of a parking subscription must have a valid driver's license.
    5. The use of the parking subscription is limited to one (1) visit per day and can only be used for 1 car per day, linked to a park visit.
    6. The parking subscription does not grant priority in any way and parking space cannot be enforced by the subscriber on the basis of the subscription. Under no circumstances can any form of compensation be claimed by the subscriber if it turns out that no parking space is available.
    7. The subscriber must strictly follow the guidelines of the parking attendants. Parking guidelines can be found in the park regulations, which can be found on the website of the park to be visited.
    8. PLOPSA is not liable for accidents that occur in the car parks of one of the aforementioned theme parks.
  4. Payment
    1. A subscription can be paid by the subscriber either immediately and in full, or via monthly repayments via direct debit order.
      If the subscriber chooses to repay the subscription monthly, payment is made via monthly direct debit.
      In the event that the subscriber fails to pay any amount on time (direct payment of the entire subscription or a monthly instalment), in the absence of any protest:
      1. A first reminder letter will be sent. After the expiry of a period of fourteen days, a conventional default interest at the interest rate determined in accordance with the statutory interest rate is due and a fixed compensation of:
        1. 20 euros if the amount due is less than or 150 euros;
        2. 30 euros plus 10% of the amount due on the instalment between 150.01 and 500 euros if the amount due is between 150.01 and 500 euros;
        3. 65 euros plus 5% of the amount due on the instalment higher than 500 euros and with a maximum of 2,000 euros if the amount due is more than 500 euros.
      2. The subscription will be blocked after one late monthly payment until the outstanding debt is settled by the subscriber;
    2. The holder of the subscription and the payer are both jointly and severally liable for payment of the subscription.
    3. In the event that the subscriber should experience payment difficulties, he/she can contact tickets@plopsa.be without obligation and Plopsa can draw up a payment plan without obligation.
  5. Duration and end
    1. Each subscription (with or without parking subscription) has a minimum duration of 12 months.
    2. Subscriptions in which the subscriber has opted for a monthly payment, start immediately from the date of purchase and are tacitly extended for an indefinite period if not cancelled by registered letter at least one month before the end of the term. After the first tacit renewal of the subscription, the subscriber has the right to cancel the agreement without cancellation fee, provided that a notice period of 2 months is respected.
    3. Subscriptions with a direct payment are automatically terminated after 12 months after the first visit. In the event of renewal of the subscription by means of a direct payment before the expiry date, the subscription will be extended by 12 months from the expiry date. In the event of renewal by means of a direct payment after the expiry date, the subscription will be valid again for 12 months after the first visit to one of the Plopsa theme parks.
    4. The subscriber has a right of withdrawal of 14 days if the subscriber has purchased the subscription online. The withdrawal must be communicated to Plopsa within 14 days, starting from the day after the purchase, by registered letter either by post to De Pannelaan 68, 8660 De Panne or by e-mail to info@plopsa.be. The following withdrawal form can be used by the subscriber. If the subscriber has already visited the park for which the subscription was purchased within that period, the subscriber will have to pay a proportional amount (i.e. the regular ticket price).
  6. Price and changes
    1. The price and conditions of the Subscription are determined based on the size of the subscriber (with the exception of the Senior 70+ Subscription). The size check is done at the entrance to the theme park with shoes on, and this in a correct but strict manner. Visitors aged 70 and over must show their identity card at the entrance to the park.
    2. Plopsa reserves the right to change the subscription conditions in the meantime. The subscriber will be informed of this in good time via the website. The new general conditions will apply from the next payment period to all current subscription agreements, after the initial term of the subscription agreement has expired.
  7. Subscriber details
    1. In the event that the personal situation of the subscriber changes (e.g. bank details, address, etc.), the subscriber has the option to adjust this himself in his Plopsa account. If this is not possible, this change must be notified to Plopsa immediately by e-mail to info@plopsa.be.
  8. Loss of subscription
    1. If the subscriber loses the subscription, a duplicate can be requested at the ticket offices or at the reception of the various Plopsa parks, for 5 EUR. In the event of theft, a duplicate is free of charge upon presentation of a police certificate.
  9. Park regulations
    1. Acceptance of these general terms and conditions implies acceptance of the park regulations, which can be found on the website of each theme park. The subscriber must adhere to the park regulations during each visit.
    2. In the event of a conflict between these general subscription conditions and the park regulations, the general subscription conditions prevail.
  10. Data processing
    1. PLOPSA only processes strictly necessary personal data of its subscribers and does so in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. More information about the processing of personal data by PLOPSA and how subscribers can exercise their rights can be found in the privacy policy on the website www.plopsa.com.
  11. Applicable law and competent court
    1. Only Belgian law applies to these general terms and conditions. Any disputes arising from this shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Flanders, Veurne division.
