People with disabilities

Plopsa Coo Ardennes was designed with the utmost care and attention for all our visitors. You are therefore most welcome in the park for an enchanting day out. The park is easily accessible for wheelchair users.

Entrance tickets

People with a disability benefit from the reduced rate of €24 for a ticket ≥ 1m. These tickets can only be purchased at the reception at the entrance to the park. Our staff are not authorised to make any assessment regarding a (non)visible disability. That is why we ask you to provide a valid declaration (maximum 1 year old) from an independent doctor confirming that you are unable to visit the park and/or the attractions without assistance and/or are unable to wait in queues. If you are a wheelchair user or blind, you do not need to provide this declaration.

The accompanying person of a wheelchair user or blind person is admitted free of charge. The normal admission rates apply to other accompanying persons. The accompanying person must be at least 15 years old.

Supervisors

A supervisor must be at least 15 years old and must be able to assist the person with a disability he/she is accompanying where necessary. Since our employees are not allowed to physically assist visitors in or out of the attractions, it is the responsibility of the supervisor to physically assist the person with a disability he/she is accompanying in and out of the attraction. The supervisor is also responsible for correctly and completely transferring the information regarding accessibility, specific information regarding safety and specific information in the event of evacuation of all attractions, of which he/she has taken note, to the person with a disability he/she is accompanying. Access to an attraction for a person with a disability is only permitted if the supervisor accompanies him/her in the attraction.

European Disability Card

Upon presentation of your European Disability Card, you can obtain a ticket ≥ 1m at a reduced rate at the Plopsa Coo Ardennes ticket office. More information or to apply for a European Disibilty Card can be found here.

Parking

At the Plopsa Coo Ardennes car park, there are parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities at the front (close to the park entrance). These spaces are available to holders of a disabled parking card. Parking is paid for by everyone.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are allowed in the park. However, we ask that they are provided with the official, legal dog jacket or brace. As an owner, you must also have a card with you that shows that the dog has been trained by a recognized training center.

Accessibility of attractions

Plopsa strives to make as many attractions as possible easily accessible for people with disabilities. For practical reasons and safety aspects, this is unfortunately not possible for every attraction. All visitors must always be able to sit safely and hold on during the ride. In the event of a possible evacuation, some attractions require good autonomy and self-reliance.

For a number of our attractions, a full awareness of time and space is necessary to guarantee safety during the ride. That is why a number of our attractions are not accessible to people with a physical disability, blind people and people with a mental disability. All attractions are accessible to the deaf.

Furthermore, for safety reasons, a maximum number of people with a disability who can visit the attractions at the same time applies to all attractions. A doctor's statement is also required for groups. For groups with a similar disability, 1 document is sufficient for the entire group. Due to the limited capacity, it is not possible to use the alternative access for large groups at the same time. We strongly recommend that you divide the group into smaller groups of 3 to 4 people, including supervision.

Alternative access to attractions

Most attractions and theatre halls can be reached via the exit. Both people with a disability and their companion and a maximum of 2 additional people can make use of this. If you, as a family with more than 4 people, wish to make use of this priority rule, this is only possible if you contact info@plopsa.be in writing in advance.

In order to be able to use the priority wristbands, we ask you to bring a certificate from an independent (family) doctor. This certificate may be max. 1 year old and must confirm that the person in question is mentally and/or physically unable to queue in long queues. A valid certificate from the FOD can also be used for this, on condition that a total of at least 7 points have been awarded (in all pillars together). Wheelchair users and blind people do not need to present these certificates. The European Disability Card is not sufficient to be able to use this scheme.

To limit waiting times, we ask you to print and complete the Declaration of Knowledge in advance.
